Cleveland Park is the neighbourhood north of Montroyal Blvd, east of the Capilano River and Cleveland Dam, sloping down to Mosquito Creek in the east. The roads here are perfectly straight east-west, unusual for this part of the North Shore. Grouse Woods is a new neighbourhood on the lower slopes of Grouse Mountain, with homes built since the 1980s in the 'West Coast' style. Shopping To the south is the popular Edgemont Village shopping district. There is also the the Westview Shopping Centre, south of Queens on Delbrook. Locals also take Capilano Road south to West Vancouver's Park Royal Shopping Centre, with lots of additional shops on either direction along Marine Drive,. Schools The area is served by Montroyal Elementary, and the popular Handsworth Senior Secondary School. The closest public library is in Edgemont Village. Recreation The community is at the foot of the Grouse Mountain Skyride with the infamous "Grouse Grind" hiking trail up the mountain (note: there are bear and wolf warnings at the bottom of the trail) There is a Para-Sailing field near Grouse Woods. To the west is beautiful Capilano Lake, with an impressive park adjacent to Cleveland Dam. 
HomesCleveland Park's terrain is gently sloped with southern exposure, and most homes are 2000 square feet ranch homes and bungalows, on 70' x 110' lots. Grouse Woods homes are impressive townhomes and "zero-lotline" homes on small lots. Many are built post & beam in the West Coast style, sometimes with open floor plans and expanses of glass.
