  • Where
    The Town of Lincoln has a population of 119,000 and is an agriculture based community that includes Vineland, Jordan, and Beamsville. The Town of Lincoln is located along the Southern shore of Lake Ontario, between the Town of Grimsby and the City of St. Catharines. Primary crops growing in the warm protected micro-climate at the base of the Niagara Escarpment are orchards of tender fruit, grape vineyards, and vegetables. Primary crops above the Niagara Escarpment (the smaller portion of the Township) include vegetables and various grains.

    The largest community is Smithville, where its industrial park is attracting the automotive, packaging and agricultural industries.

    Homes
    This community is mostly rural, with most homes on acreages and farms, with the exception of clusters around Beamsville, Vineland and Jordan, where single family homes are the norm. Schools
    There are 4 elementary schools and 1 high school in Lincoln, as well as 2 public libraries. There is also the Great Lakes Christian College in Beamsville, and in St Catharines are Brock University, Niagara College and Ridley College.

    Shopping
    There is some shopping in Beamsville and along Victoria Ave in Vineland, but most residents either shop in malls to the west in Grimsby or east in St Catharines.

    Recreation
    There are 5 community centres, 1 ice arena, 2 tennis courts and 1 public golf course. The Wet n' Wild Water Park just west of Jordan Harbour attracts youth from around the region. The community also has a number of popular parks including Cave Springs, Balls Falls (with cross-country skiing), Jordan Valley Park, the Louth Conservation Area, Rockway Conservation Area, and Shorthills Provincial Park with its cross-country skiing and tobogganning. Twenty Mile Creek and the Welland River offer canoeing and kayaking for those preferring water sports. Cyclists enjoy the area's quiet and scenic country roads.
