Flemingdon Park, south of Eglinton and Don Mills is a mixed office/residential neighbourhood, which is culturally diverse (with over 80 languages spoken) and a first home for many new Canadians seeking affordable housing in the City of Toronto. The community is named for R.J. Fleming, who's farm was bought in 1958 to build the high density development, with "Don" added for its proximity to the Don Rivers. Motorists access the Don Valley Parkway via Don Mills Road and Eglinton Avenue, to hadd either south into downtown Toronto or north to Highway 401. TTC uses, can take the #25 Don Mills buses north to the Don Mills station on the Sheppard Rapid Transit line, which connects to the Yonge-University-Spadina subway, or take the #25 Don Mills bus south past the Ontario Science Centre and connect to the Pape station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line. The east-west Eglinton bus connects west to the Yonge-University-Spadina subway and connects east to Kennedy station on the Bloor-Danforth subway line. Schools Flemingdon is served by 2 elementary schools, 1 Catholic elementary, 1 public library, and 1 public high school. The York University Glendon campus is west on Lawrence Avenue E. 
ShoppingResidents shop at the Flemingdon Park shopping centre (off Don Mills Road) and can head to the nearby much larger Don Mills Shopping Centre, with 150 stores, on Lawrence Avenue East. Recreation Flemingdon Park has paved pathways connecting its parks and connect to paved pathway that continues from Edwards Gardens for nine kilometers along the West Don River and then east along Taylor Creek to Warden Woods Park in Scarborough. These communities are served by 1 indoor pool, 1 gym, and 1 ice arenas. The community has the Flemingdon Park Golf Club to the southeast, and is home to the very popular Ontario Science Centre with OMNIMAX theatre, just south of Eglinton. Homes Flemingdon Park is a dense cluster of high-rise rental apartment buildings, along with row house apartments with a mix of marketplace rents, subsidized housing units, and seniors housing. The community also has several affordable condominium apartment buildings, with spectacular views of the Don River and the Flemingdon Park Golf Course.
