The communities lie northeast of the Taylor Ravine, with Parkview Hills west of O'Connor, Topham Park to the east, and north of St Clair, and Woodbine Gardens below St Clair. Parkview Hills is surrounded by Ravine to one side and Don River on the other, and was-in the 1800s-part of the Taylor family lands and industrial empire. The area was subdivided and developed in the early 1950s. Topham Park was developed in the late 1940s for veterans housing, replacing the area's apple orchards. The community is named for Victoria Cross receipient and area resident Frederick Topham. Woodbine Gardens, south of St Clair is a hilly neighbourhood that was the Woodbine Golf & Country Club in the 1930s. The area was developed in the 1950s after leveling the hills and burying several small creeks, and after the construction of the 810 foot long Woodbine bridge to connect these neighbourhoods to East York. These neighbourhoods have attracted a large Greek community. Motorists get to downtown via the Don Valley Parkway (via either Don Mills Rd or Eglinton Ave E), and from there to the city's other highways. The community has several buses, along Parkview Hill Cr, O'Connor Dr, Dawes Rd, and Victoria Park Ave that connect to various stations along the Bloor-Danforth sub way line. Eglinton Road E bus going west connects to the Eglinton station on the Yonge-University-Spadina line, and the St Clair bus going east connects to the Warden station on the Bloor-Danforth line. Schools The area is served by 5 elementary schools, 3 high schools, and a library. Centennial College's Warden Woods Campus is nearby, and University of Toronto is accessed via the Bloor-Danforth subway, and York University's Glendon Campus is to the north on Bayview Rd 
ShoppingThere is a busy retail district at O'Connor & St. Clair and another at Victoria Park & St. Clair, each with a couple of plazas. The Golden Mile on Eglinton Ave E is at the north end of the community, and some malls with discount merchants south of Danforth & Victoria Park. Recreation The community is adjacent to Taylor Creek Park, and a nine kilometre paved recreational trail that extends into the Don River Valley. This nature trail is ideal for walking, jogging and cycling and includes many nice picnic spots. The community has an indoor pool, an wading pool, 2 tennis courts and 7 baseball diamonds, with 2 indoor pools and an ice arena east of Victoria Park in Scarborough. There is also the Dentonia Golf Course I the Taylor Creek valley, just east of Victoria Park. Homes Most homes in these neighbourhoods post-war housing from the late 1940s. They include bungalows, English cottages, and some 2-storey homes. There are a number of newer custom built homes, and high-rise condos along Dawes Road overlooking the ravine. There are some townhouses adjacent to Parma Park, in the north end of the community. Home prices her are in the low-medium to high-medium price range Community Map
